2025 Flying Spur With 771-horsepower Set To Arrive As The Most Powerful Bentley Car Ever
2025 Flying Spur sedan with 771-horsepower set to arrive this year as the most powerful Bentley car ever.
New Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain puts out 771-hp from 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 plus electric motor.
All-new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain was first used by the recently launched Continental GT Speed.
For the Flying Spur, it allows an all-electric range of 45 miles and a combined range of more than 500 miles.
The Flying Spur sedan – Bentley Motors’ ultimate four-door Grand Tourer – is set to be reborn this year with the British luxury marque’s all-new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain, first used by the recently launched Continental GT Speed.
When it arrives to replace the current model, which was launched in 2019, the new 2025 Bentley Flying Spur will be the most powerful and most efficient four-door car in Bentley’s 105-year history – thanks to the all-new performance-focused V8 hybrid powertrain.
When fitted to the new Flying Spur, the new powertrain produces 782 PS (771 horsepower) and 1000 Nm (738 lb.ft) of torque from the union of a new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with a powerful yet compact electric motor.
Not only is the all-new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain nearly 150 PS more powerful than the outgoing W12, but the plug-in hybrid tech allows an all-electric range of “at least 45 miles” and a combined range of more than 500 miles (805 km).
In comparison, the 2025 Continental GT Speed equipped with a new 400-volt electrical architecture and 25.9 kWh battery pack boasts 50 miles (81 km) of electric-only range and a total range of 534 miles (859 km).
“The Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain is Bentley’s future, delivering astonishing flexibility from incredibly accessible supercar performance to silent, effortless electric luxury,” Bentley said in its teaser.
Bentley has promised to reveal more details of the upcoming new Flying Spur sedan in the coming weeks or months ahead of its arrival as the brand’s most powerful road going Bentley ever.
