Lamborghini Celebrates URUS SUV Number 15,000, A New Production Record In Just 2 Years
Lamborghini celebrates URUS SUV number 15,000, a new production record after just 2 years on the market.
It comes few days after Lamborghini announced a sales record set in the first half of 2021 with 4,852 cars.
2,796 of of these cars were precisely the Urus, a figure that confirms that it is the top selling model.
Lamborghini has set a new production record after the 15,000th Super SUV Urus rolled off off the assembly line after just two years of production.
This production milestone was achieved after just two years on the market. To put it perspective, V-10-powered Gallardo and Huracan achieved 14,022 units between ten and five years respectively.
The Urus, with chassis number 15,000, is under delivery to the British market. It is configured with the very latest range of colors and “Graphite Capsule” finishes.
The exterior features the new shade Grigio Keres Matt (gray) with Verde Scandal (green) details, while the interior boasts the new Nero Ade/Verde Scandal collection.
Lamborghini Urus is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine that delivers 650 horsepower. Its acceleration of 0-100 km in 3.6 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 12.8 seconds, along with its top speed of 305 km/h, make it one of the fastest Super SUVs on the market today.
This extraordinary threshold came in just a few days after Lamborghini announced a sales record set in the first half of 2021 with 4,852 cars delivered worldwide.
2,796 of of these cars were precisely the Urus, a figure that confirms that it is the top selling model. This is due to its outstanding performance and absolute versatility, which perfectly blend together the soul of a super sports car and the features of a SUV.
Back in March 2021, the Urus proved that it is absolutely the fastest car on ice after setting a new speed record of 298 km/h on the ice of Lake Baikal in Russia during the Days of Speed. It recorded an average speed from a standing start of 114 km/h over 1000 meters.
