The EV Model For The Hyundai Staria Has Arrived In Europe
Hyundai’s Staria Electric model appeared on the South Korean market at the beginning of this year along with the rest of the renewed model line, and now it has arrived in Europe, where Hyundai is positioning it as a competitor to the Volkswagen ID model. Buzz.
The Staria is a larger vehicle in all important dimensions, with more space for passengers and their luggage. The electric model can be distinguished from its gasoline and hybrid versions by looking at the front, where the redesigned bumper hides the radiator grille behind a smooth panel, and it has a charging port.
The appearance is completed by aerodynamic rims and a special label on the huge tailgate.
With a length of 5,253 mm, the Staria is significantly longer than the VW ID model. Buzz and Kia PV5. It is also larger in dimensions than the standard Ford E-Tourneo Custom, VW e-Caravelle, Peugeot e-Traveller, Citroen e-Spacetourer, Opel Zafira-e Life and Fiat E-Ulysse, although the extended wheelbase versions of those models are longer.

In Europe, the Staria Electric is available in three trim levels: Trend, Prime and Calligraphy.
The base version comes standard with full-LED headlights, two 12.3-inch screens, heated front seats, parking sensors, a reversing camera, several driver assistance systems (ADAS) and a three-row, nine-seat layout.
The optional Driver Assistance Package adds navigation, highway assist and a V2L adapter, while the Premium Package adds power sliding doors and a power tailgate, sliding windows, acoustic and heat-insulating tinted glass, and a wireless charging pad.
All of the above comes standard in the Staria Electric Prime model, which additionally gets leather upholstery and ventilated front seats, while a sunroof above the first row and a fixed panoramic roof above the second row are offered as options.
In the photos is the Staria Electric Calligraphy, the only version with a seven-passenger seating arrangement, which is based on two comfortable seats in the second row with functions of heating, ventilation and rest settings.
The top-of-the-line version also got ambient lighting, a Bose sound system, a 360-degree camera, a brushed leather-style roof lining, Nappa leather, and the Passenger View and Talk system.
On the outside, the Calligraphy stands out with a different front bumper that houses larger projector headlights, parametric pixel LED taillight assemblies that extend all the way to the roofline, and an exclusive Galaxy Maroon color option.
The volume of the luggage compartment is 1,303 liters behind the third row of seats in the nine-seater version, while the front trunk, with a volume of 24 liters is used for charging cables.
The towing capacity is 2,000 kg, and the maximum load capacity is 750 kg.
Under the body, the van is powered by a single front-mounted electric motor that develops 218 hp. The energy is stored in a battery pack with a capacity of 84 kWh, which enables a WLTP autonomy of up to 430 km between two charges. Thanks to its 800-volt architecture, the Staria Electric can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 20 minutes when connected to a DC charger, and comes standard with a heat pump and battery heating system.
In Germany, the price of the Hyundai Staria Electric model starts at 57,450 euros for the entry-level Trend trim, 63,650 euros for the mid-level Prime and 66,950 euros for the top-level Calligraphy. The Assistance and Premium packages cost an additional 2,100 euros each, while the Panorama package adds another 1,300 euros.
By comparison, the smaller Volkswagen ID. Buzz Pro with extended wheelbase and 86 kWh battery on the same market starts at 57,887 euros. On the other hand, the VW e-Caravelle costs 66,080 euros for the version with a short wheelbase and a battery capacity of 70.9 kWh.
