Japan-only BMW X7 “Nishijin Edition” Is Limited To Just Three Cars
All-new Limited-edition BMW X7 “Nishijin Edition” sports utility vehicle (SUV) is only for the Japanese market.
It was designed to celebrate the Nishijin district in Japan, famous for its traditional textile production.
The X7 is finished in the BMW Individual Ametrine – a paint color which changes in different light.
It also rides on four run-flat tyres – which allows it to drive at reduced speeds when punctured.
Just 2 units remains from the planned 3 as at the time of writing and each of these X7-based SUV cost $153,000.
BMW has introduced a special all-new, limited-edition X7 sports utility vehicle (SUV) dubbed the BMW X7 Nishijin Edition for the Japanese market.
Unveiled at a special presentation in Aoyama, Tokyo on September 21, the BMW X7 “Nishijin Edition” was designed to celebrate the Nishijin district in Japan.
This limited-run BMW X7 gets an incredibly unique interior designed to represent the beautiful textiles of the Nishijin district. The district is famous for its traditional textile production.
On the outside, the X7 is finished in the BMW Individual Ametrine – a paint color which changes in different light. The SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) also rides on four run-flat tyres – which allows it to drive at reduced speeds when punctured.
Inside, the standard Ivory Merino leather interior, the headliner and the center armrest, are all covered in a stunning traditional design, made in the traditional Nishijin-ori process.
Powering the X7 Nishijin Edition is the 40d xDrive’s 3.0-liter turbo-diesel six-cylinder engine producing 335 hp at 4,400 rpm and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque at 1,750 rpm.
Just three examples of the BMW X7 will be manufactured, each with a starting price of 16.8 million yen ($153,000). Just 2 units remains as at the time of writing and orders are available here. Delivery will begin by the end of the year.
