China now has over 2 Million individual charging points, 69,400 charging sites, the largest in the world

China’s 69,400 charging stations (sites) shows that there is an average of 32 charging points per one station.

China, the world largest electric vehicle market, has the world’s highest number of charging points, according to the China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance (EVCIPA).
As of the end of September, the country boasts 2.223 million individual charging points, consisting of over 1 million publicly accessible charging points and an almost 1.2 million private points.
This numbers is about 56.8% increase year-over-year, thanks to some 36,500 new public charging points that were being installed per month, since October 2020 to September 2021.
