Military-based IVM G80 flagship SUV is the most expensive luxury car offered by the Nnewi-based auto brand.

IVM G80 is a variant of the Chinese-built BAIC BJ80 SUV, the latter, an imitation of the popular Mercedes G-Class.

The newly appointed Minister of State, Police Affairs, Her Excellency, Hon Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim has been spotted riding in a locally-made Innoson IVM G80 SUV, which starts at ₦60 million for the unarmored model.

In a video shared, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim who was likely departing for official duties was seen boarding the boxy flagship Innoson G80 SUV, which was later followed by a police Toyota Hilux escort.

The video shared by arewa_display, was captioned with :

“Her Excellency, The first female Honorable Federal Minister of state Police Affairs in Nigeria continues to break down walls this country has held on to for years. We salute you Ma!”

But it seems Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim has been a patronizer of Innoson vehicles as another video posted to her Instagram account in July 2023 shows she owns the SUV (or probably another IVM G80) before her appointment as the Minister of State, Police Affairs.

The military-based 5-seater Innoson IVM G80 flagship sports utility vehicle (SUV), starting at over ₦60 Million, is the most expensive luxury vehicle offered by the Nnewi-based Nigerian auto brand.

Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing first announced the development of the high-riding IVM G80 SUV for the African market on December 11, 2017.

The Innoson IVM G80 is a variant of the Chinese-built BAIC BJ80 SUV, the latter, reportedly an imitation of the popular Mercedes-Benz G-Class, according to the wiki page of BJ80.

Powering the Innoson G80 luxury SUV is a Mitsubishi-sourced 2.4L petrol engine, and an upgraded 3.0L Turbocharged petrol engine like the one in the G80 model seen in the video shared.
