Newly elected Chukwuma Soludo became the first Governor in the Country to use Made-in-Nigeria vehicle as official car after arriving at his swearing-in ceremony on Thursday in Innoson IVM G80 mid-size luxury SUV.

Soludo was sworn-in as the sixth (6th) Governor of Anambra State at the state government house, and according to reports, agencies under his government will also use IVM vehicles to help promote locally made products.

Here are 7 things to know about his new official vehicle, the Innoson G80

1) First Locally-made made official State car

The Innoson IVM G80, a mid-size four-wheel drive luxury SUV, is the first Made-in-Nigeria vehicle to be used as official vehicle by any Nigerian State Governor.

Governors in Nigeria are known for riding vehicles made by brands like Lexus, Mercedes, Land Rover/Range Rover and Toyota Land Cruiser as official vehicles.

2) Replaces Armoured Toyota Land Cruiser

The Locally-made armoured IVM G80 replaces a 2014 bulletproof Toyota Land Cruiser SUV used by Soludo’s predecessors, ex-Governor Willie Obiano.

3) Bulletproof Car

Likely armored to the BR6 level, the bulletproof IVM G80 SUV is uniquely designed with reinforced structures to safeguard the Governor against assaults from bullets, blasts and assaults.

4) Luxury Offroader

According to indigenous automaker, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, the boxy 5-seat IVM G80 Sports Utility Vehicle, unlike any luxurious Offroader, owns the road.

With superb blend of advanced technology, bold styling and powerful performance, the self-confident appearance of the IVM G80 SUV stands out in the crowd.

6) Price

The Made-in-Nigeria Innoson IVM G80 SUV starts at around ₦27,825,000 (or about ₦28 million).

But the customized version used by Anambra State Governor is expected to be more pricier than the base Innoson IVM G80 SUV.

7) Engine

Powering the Innoson G80 mid-size four-wheel drive luxury SUV is a Mitsubishi 4G69S4N (2.4L) petrol engine, and an upgraded 3.0 Turbocharged petrol engine.
