Adekunle Gold Amazed After Seeing Cruise Self-driving Taxi In San Francisco (WATCH)

Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Adekunle Gold, expresses shock after seeing Cruise Self-driving taxi in San Francisco.
The sighting comes few weeks before the suspension of its taxi services following an Oct. 2 accident in San Francisco.
Following series of accidents, California regulators in November ordered Cruise to remove its driverless cars from state roads.
Seeing a self-driving car (autonomous car) without anyone behind the wheels for the first time is bound to surprise anyone as shown by Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Adekunle Gold, who recently spotted one cruising in San Francisco.
In a video shared, the visibly amazed 36 year old can be heard telling his pals that he hasn’t seen a self-driving car before, after which he said “American wonder!”
The self-driving car spotted by Adekunle and his pals is a Robotaxi managed by Cruise owned by General Motors Corp (GM). The sighting comes few weeks before the suspension of Cruise taxi services following an October 2nd accident where Cruise’s car dragged a pedestrian in San Francisco.
Cruise earlier allowed to send self-driving cars onto San Francisco streets without backup drivers
On October 26, Cruise announced a pause of all its driverless operations “while we take time to examine our processes, systems, and tools and improve how we operate,” Cruise said in a statement.
“In the coming days, we are also pausing our supervised and manual AV operations in the U.S., affecting roughly 70 vehicles. This orderly pause is a further step to rebuild public trust while we undergo a full safety review.”
Following series of accidents, California regulators in November ordered Cruise to remove its driverless cars from state roads, calling the self-driving cars a risk to the public.
