These Are 10 Most Expensive Cars Ever Sold At Auction – Featuring 7 Ferraris, 2 Mercedes And 1 Aston Martin
After a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO / 330 LM sold for $51.7 million on 13th November 2023, here are the 10 most expensive cars ever bought at auction.
The top 10 most valuable cars to be sold at auction features seven Ferraris, two Mercedes and an Aston Martin.

Last week, a classic 1962 250 GTO / 330 LM chassis number 3765, dubbed ‘the holy grail of all collector cars’, was sold for a new record price of £42 million ($51.7million) during RM Sotheby’s auction in New York.
“Celebrating this sale during Sotheby’s marquee week highlights the unparalleled stature of this Ferrari as one of the world’s most desirable objects., says Gord Duff, Sotheby’s Global Head of Auctions, after the sale.

“Fetching £42 million, this transaction adds a new chapter to a vehicle with an unmatched legacy. Now, it ranks among the most expensive cars sold at auction, a true testament to its singular place in history.”
While £42 million ($51.7million) paid makes the 1962 250 GTO the most expensive Ferrari sold at auction, the price tag still trails the amount paid last year for a 1955 Mercedes 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe at Sotheby’s sale in Stuttgart, Germany.
