Bentley To Drive 8000 Km In A Blower Jnr Scale Model

Bentley is once again under the spell of the ‘Blower’, the extra powerful version of the 4½ Litre, with which Bentley achieved great fame in racing almost a century ago. Not only has Bentley started building completely new copies, but there is also a real driving scale model on the way that answers to the name Bentley Blower Jnr. A beautiful replica developed together with The Little Car Company is 85 percent of the original size. The biggest difference is not the size, but the drivetrain: it is fully electric.
Once you’ve squeezed into the Bentley Blower Jnr., you’re completely at the mercy of the elements behind the wheel of a 22-hp EV that can drive around 100 km on a full battery and reach a top speed of 72 km/h. In short, it is especially fun to go on a short trip now and then when the weather is nice. However, that is not what Bentley intends to do with it. Before the production version of the Bentley Blower Jnr comes onto the market, it undergoes a harsh journey
Bentley says it will travel a total of about 8,000 km with the Blower Jr. in the coming months, spread over three different continents. The first ride is already over, and it took place in Switzerland under winter conditions. We are curious whether the tester then had to be freed from his awkward position with a hair dryer. Sometime in the new year, Bentley hopes to complete the testing and obtain official road approval for the Blower Jnr.
