NCAA Suspends Permits Of Three Private Jet Operators For Conducting Commercial Flights
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) suspend permits of three private jet operators for operating commercial flights.
It follows the warnings to private jet operators with Permit for Non-Commercial Flight (PNCF) to stop conducting commercial services.
Existing Air Operator Certificate (AOC) holders also warned against using aircraft listed on their PNCF for commercial charter operations.
NCAA also urged the public to avoid patronizing any airline charter operator without valid Air Operators Certificate.
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) on Tuesday April 16th announced the suspension of Permit for Non-Commercial Flight (PNCF) of three private jet operators for conducting commercial flights.
The suspension of the three private jet operators permits was announced in a statement, signed by Acting Director General Captain Chris Najomo, posted on the NCAA’s website.
This move follows the warnings from the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, to private jet operators to stop conducting commercial services.
“In line with our zero tolerance for violation of regulations, the Authority has suspended the PNCF of these operators,” Chris Najomo said in a statement.
“To further sanitize the general aviation sector, I have directed that’s a re-evaluation of all holders of PNCF be carried carried out on or before the 19th of April 2024 to ascertain compliance with regulatory requirements.”
Additionally, Chris Najomo directed all holders of the Permit for Non-Commercial Flights (PNCF) to submit relevant documents within 72 hours.
“This riot act is also directed at existing Air Operator Certificate (AOC) holders, who utilize aircraft listed on their PNCF for commercial charter operations.”
The NCAA also urged the public to avoid patronizing any airline charter operator without valid Air Operators Certificate issued by the NCAA when they wish to procure charter operations services.
