Lamborghini Discontinues Urus S And Performante, Only Urus SE Hybrid Now Available For Purchase
Lamborghini to discontinue sold out Urus S and Performante this year, only newly launched Urus SE Hybrid will be available for purchase.
Unlike the base Urus S and Performante, the Urus SE hybrid uses a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine plus an electric powertrain.
Lamborghini Urus SE hybrid starts at $258,000, though it will cost north of N600 Million naira to own one in Nigeria.
Non-hybrid version of the Urus is already one of the most popular luxury SUV on the Nigerian road despite its seven figure price.
The un-electrified versions of the entry-level Urus S and the Urus Performante are already sold out till their discontinuation at the end of this year leaving just the Lamborghini Urus SE hybrid available for purchase in the Urus lineup.
Automobili Lamborghini, who made this known last week while announcing a positive financial results for the first quarter of 2024, also announced plans to present the hybrid successor to the Huracán in second half of the year.
Late last month, the Italian supercar manufacturer launched the Urus SE, which features a new design as well as “two hearts” – a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine plus an electric powertrain.

The Urus SE’s plug-in hybrid system, churns out a total power output of 789 hp and a total torque of 700 lb-ft of torque, making Lamborghini’s best-selling model the most powerful Urus ever and the fastest production car in the Super SUV category.
Urus SE can sprints from 0-62 mph in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 194 mph. With the 25.9-kWh lithium-ion battery-pack, the Urus SE will go 37 miles of EV range and reach a top speed of 84 mph at EV Drive mode.
