12 Years After : Porsche Macan Reaches One Million Production Milestone

One millionth Porsche Macan rolls off the line in Leipzig plant, where it has been manufactured since 2013.

Milestone anniversary vehicle is Macan 4, all-electric variant of Porsche best-selling model between January and June 2025.

Porsche has handed over the vehicle to its new owner at the Porsche Experience Center Leipzig, which is located at the factory.

Finished in Frozen Blue Metallic, it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds and reach a top speed of up to 136.7 mph.

German luxury carmaker, Porsche, is celebrating a production milestone as the one millionth Macan rolls off the line at its plant in Leipzig, where the compact SUV has been manufactured since production started in 2013.

The milestone anniversary vehicle is a Macan 4, an all-electric variant of Porsche best-selling model, which was handed over today (July 16th) to its new owner at the Porsche Experience Center Leipzig, which is located at the factory.

“I find the Macan thrilling because of its sporty features combined with its everyday usability,” says the 62-year-old entrepreneur, adding that :

“Collecting the car from the factory here in Leipzig, as well as experiencing the track with its corners based on those from other famous circuits, are definitely highlights.”

Finished in the striking Frozen Blue Metallic, the milestone anniversary Macan 4 with 408 horsepower can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (100 km/h) in 5.2 seconds and goes on to reach a top speed of up to 136.7 mph (220 km/h).

Its powerful high-voltage battery provides a range of up to 612 kilometres, while a charging capacity of 270 kW enables the battery to be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 21 minutes.

Since its arrival in the market in 2014, Macan has achieved great popularity worldwide. With 45,137 examples delivered to customers (+15 per cent) between January and July 2025, the Macan was the best-selling Porsche model in the first half of the year – almost 60 per cent of these figure were the fully electric variant.
