Italian manufacturer Maserati has finally taking the wraps off its all-new Grecale sports utility vehicle (SUV) as it kick-starts its revival at the larger end of the mid-size SUV segment.
The all-new 2023 Maserati Grecale mid-size SUV, just like its bigger sister, the Levante, takes its name from a wind.
When it finally arrives in the market in the second half of this year, it will compete with models including Porsche Macan, Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5 and Land Rover Discovery.
The SUV comes in three versions, including the Modena and GT models, as well as the performance Trofeo model. The Modena and GT models gets a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with mild hybrid technology, and they produce 330hp and 300hp respectively.

Up front, the Grecale features the traditional Maserati grille design with vertical slats and a large logo in the centre.
All Grecale models come with flush-fitting door handles and a 19-inch alloy wheels as standard, however 20 and 21-inch options are available.
Inside, the five-seat interior features a digital drivers display, a clock, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen in the centre, paired with an 8.8-inch screen below that for the climate control. A head-up display is available as an option.
It also comes with an Apple CarPlay and Android Auto comes as standard. Customers can also get Maserati Connect, which includes live traffic updates, a WiFi hotspot and Amazon Alexa services.

Electric Maserati Grecale ‘Folgore’
Maserati, the luxury brand of Stellantis, says that a full-electric version of the Grecale will be available next year. But an electric version of the Maserati GranTurismo will arrive first before the Grecale in 2023.
The Italian brand aims to offer a full-electric version of each of its current model, badged with ‘Folgore’, including the over 200,000 euro super sport car MC20 by 2025, and to entirely go full-electric by 2030.
