BREAKING : Domestic Flights To Resume On July 8 – FG
Domestic flights to resume on July 8, Lagos and Abuja airports to resume first.
Kano, Port Harcourt, Owerri & Maiduguri to resume on the 11th.
Other airports on the 15th.
Date for international flights to be announced in due course.
The Federal Government on Wednesday said domestic flights will resume effectively on July 8, 2020.
The news was announced by the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, through his official Twitter handle.
According to his tweets, the restart of commercial operations would begin with Lagos and Abuja airports on July 8.
Sirika added that four other airports including Port Harcourt, Kano, Owerri and Maiduguri would resume from July 11. Other airports would resume on the 15th.

He wrote :
“I am glad to announce that Abuja & Lagos airports will resume domestic operations on the 8th of July, 2020.
Kano, Port Harcourt, Owerri & Maiduguri to resume on the 11th. Other airports on the 15th.
Date for international to be announced in due course. Bear with us.”
Recall that the country’s airspace and airports were shut to flight operations to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
Despite the travel restrictions, essential flights, such as foreign evacuation flights and movement of medical supplies were permitted.
Earlier report stated that domestic flights will resume on the 21st of June, 2020.
