Kaduna State governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Quorum Aviation Ltd to provide air shuttle services to Lagos and Abuja under the marketing name BOKU AIR.
At the signing of the MOU, Governor Nasir El-Rufai expressed confidence in the viability of the venture. He also called on the businessmen and women in Kaduna State to take advantage of the arrangement.
“I am very confident that it will be viable, hence, I am calling on all the people in Kaduna State, particularly businessmen and women that are interested in transacting businesses in Abuja to take advantage of this service which began from road transport, to rail and now air transport.
“We thank QAL for exploring this opportunity and taking up this challenge. We are handing over our terminal building which we constructed and equipped at our own cost.”

Quorum Aviation Ltd (QAL) would deploy two 50-seater business jets as part of the deal to provide a minimum of five daily shuttle passenger services at an affordable price between Abuja, Kaduna and Lagos.
The Managing Director of Quorum Aviation Ltd (QAL), Lukman Lawal, also revealed the reasons for making Kaduna the base station for their operations. He said the move was to further establish Kaduna state as a regional aviation service hub. He said it will also to create jobs and attract additional investments into the aviation sector of the State.
The new air shuttle service will be a great complement to the train services that currently runs between Kaduna and Abuja.
