Elon Musk Denies Gifting Russian Warlord, Putin’s Friend A Machine Gun-mounted Tesla Cybertruck
Tesla CEO Elon Musk denies gifting Russian warlord, Ramzan Kadyrov, a machine gun-mounted Tesla Cybertruck.
Chechen warlord had earlier posted a video of himself on driving the combat-ready Cybertruck, claiming it was a gift from Musk.
With regards to how he got the Cybertruck despite the Ukraine war sanctions, it could be a case of illegal importation.
Elon Musk has denied gifting a $100,000 Tesla Cybertruck to Ramzan Kadyrov, a Russian general and the current Head of the predominantly Muslim Chechen Republic.
The Chechen warlord had earlier posted a video of himself on Telegram driving a Cybertruck with a rear-mounted machine gun, claiming it was a gift from the tech billionaire.
“We received a Tesla cybertruck from the esteemed Elon Musk. I had the pleasure of testing the new technology and saw for myself that it is not by chance that it is called ‘Cyberbeast’. A real invulnerable and fast animal,” the Chechen leader said.

He added that : “We are waiting for your new developments that will contribute to the completion of the SMO,” referring to the “Special Military Operation”, which is Russia’s preferred term for the war in Ukraine.
The video was later shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Anton Gerashchenko, a self-proclaimed Ukrainian patriot, who alleged that Elon Musk sent the Cybertruck to Kadyrov.
While denying the allegation, the Tesla boss tweeted: “Are you seriously so ret***ed that you think I donated a Cybertruck to a Russian general? That’s amazing 🤣🤣”, adding that this is “Yet another example of how much the legacy media lies”.
Ramzan Kadyrov is one of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s most prominent allies in the Ukraine conflict.
With regards to how Kadyrov got the combat-ready Tesla Cybertruck shipped into the country despite the Ukraine war sanctions, it could be a case of illegal importation through former Soviet states, especially Azerbaijan.
