Flagship Xiaomi SU7 Ultra sedan officially opens sale with a starting price of RMB 529,900 ($72,931.72).
Optional configurations : “Racing Package” and “Nürburgring Nordschleife Limited Edition” will be available.
SU7 Ultra features an oversized front splitter, “U-shaped” air curtains plus an enlarged air intake grille.
Like the prototype, SU7 Ultra features tri-motor configuration as well as track-optimized, high-power battery pack.
This setup allows the SU7 Ultra to reach 60 mph in just 1.97 seconds and a top speed that can exceed 350 km/h.
Chinese electronics manufacturer-turned automaker, Xiaomi, on Thursday (today) announced the start of official sales of the SU7 Ultra, with the flagship model of the SU7 Series starting price of RMB 529,900 yuan ($72,931.72).
“Our mission is that we should let more people who like us afford luxury cars. Then after discussions for three to four months, we’ve decided on the price of 529,900 yuan,” CEO Lei Jun said on why it was now cutting that price by 35%.
It will be recalled Xiaomi started taking pre-orders for the SU7 Ultra at the end of October at a sticker price of RMB814,900 ($112,00). After the event, Xiaomi said it had received 3,680 orders within the first 10 minutes of its launch on October 29 last year.
In addition to the standard version of the SU7 Ultra, Xiaomi also announced a range of optional configurations will be available, including the “Racing Package” and the “Nürburgring Nordschleife Limited Edition”.
Xiaomi said that the optional configurations will be officially available when the production version of the SU7 Ultra has completed its Nürburgring Nordschleife lap challenge.
To different itself from the base SU7, the SU7 Ultra features an oversized front splitter along with “U-shaped” air curtains to increase the downforce of the front of the car plus an enlarged air intake grille.
Like the SU7 Ultra Prototype, the SU7 Ultra features tri-motor configuration as well as track-optimized, high-power battery pack. This setup allows the 1548-horsepower SU7 Ultra to reach 60 mph (100 km/h) in just 1.97 seconds and a top speed that can exceed 350 km/h.
