From Governors To Ministers, Here Are Government Officials Who Use Made-in-Nigeria Vehicles As Official Cars
From Governors to Ministers, here are government officials who use Made-in-Nigeria vehicles as official cars.
To promote Made-in-Nigeria vehicles, these high-ranking government officials ditched the more expensive foreign-made ones.
They include the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment and the Minister of State, Police Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim.
Other patronizers of Made-in-Nigeria vehicles are Governors of Anambra and Abia State, who use IVM G80 SUV as official vehicles.

Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, the current Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, recently purchased a brand new Nord Demir luxury SUV as her official car as part of her efforts to help promote Made-in-Nigeria vehicles.
Keys to the luxury Demir SUV was handed to Dr. Oduwole by Nord CEO Oluwatobi Ajayi during her tour of the brand’s facility in University of Lagos (UNILAG) on Independence Day.

But Autojosh notes that the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment isn’t the only high-ranking government official who have patronized Made-in-Nigeria Vehicles to help grow the automotive industry.
Back in August 2023, the Minister of State, Police Affairs, Hon Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, was also spotted riding in a locally-made Innoson IVM G80 SUV, which starts at ₦60 million for the unarmored model.

Other patronizers of Made-in-Nigeria vehicles include Prof Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra, whose official vehicle is an armored Innoson IVM G80 SUV while his deputy, Gilbert Onyekachukwu Ibezim, use IVM G5T as his official car.
Soludo’s drive to support locally brands also inspired Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, to purchase a customized IVM G80 SUV as official vehicle. In addition, most of the vehicles used by the current Abia State Government were purchased from Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing.
