FRSC arrest overloaded truck with goods and passengers, as part of efforts to reduce road traffic crashes across the country.

FRSC boss had in December ordered the arrest of trailers and trucks carrying humans and animals together.

It follows several fatal crashes involving an articulated vehicle ferrying humans and animals together.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) over the weekend arrested trucks loaded with goods and passengers along Kaduna-Abuja highway, amid its ongoing “Special Intervention Patrol Against Overloading of Trucks with goods and animals”.

One of the successful operations was led by the Corps Marshal of FRSC Dauda Ali Biu, who came down from his official vehicle to effect the arrest of truck loaded with goods and passengers.

“Ongoing Special Intervention Patrol against Overloading of Trucks with goods and animals. FRSC Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali Biu FCNA, CPA, NPoM effects arrest of truck loaded with goods and passengers along Kaduna-Abuja highway, close to Katari at about 4pm 11th Feb 24.”

“Overloading of vehicles with goods and passengers is Dangerous! Beware ⚠️ ⚠️⚠️,” FRSC said in a statement as part of efforts to reduce road traffic crashes across the country.
