Huawei’s Maextro S800 becomes China’s top-selling $100,000 car, outsells Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Porsche Panamera in November.
The Maextro S800 is priced between 708,000 yuan and 1.02 million yuan in China – the world’s largest auto market.
In China, Porsche Panamera and Mercedes-Benz S-Class limousine starts at 1.1 million yuan and 1.24 million yuan respectively.
Deliveries of Maextro S800 reached 2,145 deliveries in November, surpassing the combined sales of the Porsche Panamera and BMW 7 Series.

The all-new Maextro S800 has emerged as China’s best-selling luxury car priced above $100k, with the flagship car from Huawei-back Maextro brand outperforming rival models from Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW.
Deliveries of the Maextro S800 reached 2,145 deliveries in November, according to data reported by the South China Morning Post – surpassing the combined sales of the Porsche Panamera (1,200 units) and BMW 7 Series (928 deliveries) in the same price bracket.

The S800 is priced between 708,000 yuan and 1.02 million yuan while the Panamera and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class limousine starts at 1.1 million yuan and 1.24 million yuan respectively in the world’s largest auto market.

“Maextro S800 is the first time that a Chinese brand has managed to get a foothold in the 1 million yuan ultra-luxury segment,” Richard Yu, chairman of Huawei’s consumer business group, told state broadcaster CCTV.
Maextro is an ultra-luxury electric vehicle brand created by Chinese tech giant, Huawei Technologies Co., and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC). The new flagship Maextro S800 sedan boast a cutting-edge technology with opulent design.

“The brand’s rosy performance could bolster Chinese carmakers’ confidence in building more expensive electric cars to challenge the international marques like Mercedes Benz and BMW,” said Tian Maowei, a sales manager at Yiyou Auto Service in Shanghai.
Last month, Chinese-born Singaporean martial artist and film actor, Jet Li, became the owner of the 10,000th Maextro S800 ultra-luxury sedan, which rolled the assembly on December 16th, less than seven months after its market launch.
