The first customer Koenigsegg Gemera Mega-GT four-seater was brutally vandalized in downtown Copenhagen, just days after its owner picked up the pristine, $2.5+ million megacar finished in a jaw-dropping metallic red/orange paint.

According to reports, the car was parked outside the ultra-luxury Hotel d’Angleterre in Copenhagen—where it had been turning heads—before vandals used heavy bricks to smash the ultra-rare vehicle, shattering its windshield and wrecking the carbon fiber body.

This incident comes barely two months after Koenigsegg CEO Christian von Koenigsegg unveiled this particular unit at The Aurora, an exclusive annual automotive and lifestyle event held in the coastal town of Båstad, Sweden, in late June.

While official reports are pending and Autojosh cannot confirm the exact extent of the damage, the bespoke car will likely be flown back to Koenigsegg’s factory in Ängelholm, Sweden, for repairs.

Finished in a custom Johan Röd paint over Engel Svart leather and Alcantara with red stitching accents, this client’s Gemera is equipped with bespoke, red-tinted Ghosts on the Aircore seats and rides on Trofast Aircore Carbon Wheels.

“Today is a big milestone for Koenigsegg, as we roll out the most technically advanced and most ambitious program in our history,” Christian von Koenigsegg said during the unveiling of this masterpiece at the two-day event held between June 26 and 28, 2026.

Powering the Koenigsegg Gemera is a hybrid-assisted twin-turbo V-8 engine. This allows the 2,300-horsepower, street-legal car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 1.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 249 mph (400 km/h). Production of the world’s most extreme “family car” is limited to just 300 units worldwide.
