LASTMA Rescue A Drunk Driver Who Rammed Into A Road Median At Marina, Lagos

LASTMA rescue a drunk driver who rammed into a road median in a lone crash at Marina, Lagos on Monday.
Speaking on the crash, LASTMA GM appealed to motorists not to drink and drive and to obey all traffic regulations.
A driver will likely face Driving under the Influence (DUI) charges after ramming a Volkswagen Space bus he was driving into a road media at C.M.S inward outer Marina area of Lagos.
Following the crash on Monday December 25th, LASTMA personnel working around CMS outer Marina rushed to the scene and rescued the trapped driver, who was later rushed to ‘Odan’ General Hospital for medical treatment.
In a statement by LASTMA, the agency said that “the driver of a Volkswagen Space bus with registration number AAW 56 AA rammed into the road media on top high speed and got trapped.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of the Volkswagen Space bus lost control and rammed into the road media as a result much intake of alcohol.
“Policemen from ‘Lion Building’ provided security backup while LASTMA personnel recovered the trapped vehicle off the media to enable free vehicular movement inward outer Marina.
Speaking on the crash, the General Manager of LASTMA Mr. Bakare Oki, who visited the accident scene, appealed to the motoring public not to drink while driving and to obey all traffic regulations in order to ensure safety.
