Lexus RX To Get A Major Facelift Soon

Despite strong competition from the BMW X5 and Mercedes GLE, the Lexus RX remains the sales leader in the luxury mid-size crossover segment.

Now nearing its fourth model year, the current generation is expected to receive a facelift soon, with reports suggesting a reveal as early as late 2024 or early 2025. Prototype sightings indicate styling updates, while interior enhancements, potentially including a new touchscreen interface, are also anticipated.

Lexus hasn’t released official teasers, but reports suggest a potential facelift reveal between late 2024 and early 2027. This update will help clarify the timeline for the next-generation RX, which could arrive by 2027 or 2030 depending on the facelift’s launch date.

Updated Lexus RX prototypes spotted in Europe show camouflaged bumpers and revised headlights. Expect styling cues influenced by the Lexus ES and IS, likely featuring a refined front end and potential interior touchscreen upgrades.

While the exterior modifications may be subtle, the vehicle’s interior is expected to undergo more significant improvements. It is anticipated that the updated RX will incorporate design elements from the redesigned ES sedan, most notably the integration of a new touchscreen interface.

Although a complete overhaul of the infotainment system is possible, it is more probable that Lexus will introduce interface refinements, reserving a fully redesigned system for the next-generation model. Meanwhile, the powertrain options are expected to remain consistent with the current iteration.
