Long Wheel Base Mercedes-Benz Electric GLC To Debut In China
The electric crossover Mercedes-Benz GLC with EQ Technology was presented at last year’s Munich Motor Show, while the Chinese are now getting their version with a longer wheelbase.
The car for China is 4949mm long, 1970mm wide and 1710mm tall, with a 3027mm wheelbase: the new model is 104mm longer, 57mm wider and 66mm taller than the global crossover, with a 55mm longer wheelbase. The wheels are 20 inches.
The interior stands out with a 39.1-inch MBUX screen and a head-up display. Equipment includes front seats with heating, ventilation and massage, a wireless smartphone charger and a Burmester audio system, among others.
The electric Mercedes-Benz GLC 350 L 4Matic has four-wheel drive and two electric motors (for a total power of 630 HP). Acceleration data has not yet been released, but the maximum speed is 200 km/h.
The 89 kWh battery will provide the 2515 kg vehicle with a range of up to 703 km.
The car will soon be unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show; its sales in China will begin on April 23, but prices have not yet been announced.
