Lotus Emeya Fast Charges From 10 To 80% In Just 15 Minutes

Special fast charging figures have already been promised for the Lotus Emeya, but they turn out to be even more impressive than previously reported. It should be possible to charge from 10 to 80 percent in less than fifteen minutes.
The Lotus Emeya was presented last year with the promise that it could handle up to 350 kW of charging capacity on a fast charger. Lotus now reports that it appears to be a bit higher. The P3 Group has conducted research into the fast charging options of the Emeya and measured a peak charging power of 402 kW with an average charging power of 331 kW.
Of course, you still have to find a pole that delivers such power, but it means that you can charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent full in 14 minutes instead of the already impressive 18 minutes that Lotus previously stated. This equates to 310 km of WLTP driving range in 10 minutes. This means that the Lotus Emeya already delivers in practice what its fellow group, Polestar, recently achieved with experimental technology. Lotus attributes this partly to the advanced battery cooling in the Emeya. Lotus itself is setting up a charging network that will make charging with such capacities possible.
