Mercedes-Benz has shared a video of its upcoming all-new electric GLC SUV (officially called GLC with EQ technology) being tested by CEO Ola Källenius on the test track in Sindelfingen, Germany – ahead of its Munich motor show debut in September 2025.

Joining him is host – Sarah Harman, and together they put a camouflaged electric GLC through five challenges, teasing its agility, acceleration, everyday, charging speed and towing capacity.

“The biggest product-launch programme in our company’s history continues with the all-new GLC. We’re not just introducing a new model – we’re electrifying our top seller,” said Ola Källenius.

Launching first is the GLC 400 4MATIC with EQ technology – which Källenius said can tow up to 2.4 tons (5,291 lbs) braked, making Mercedes-Benz’s best-selling car ideal for large caravans, boat trailers or horse trailers. During the test, the electric GLC towed the classic Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3, a luxury performance car produced from 1968 to 1972.

Kallenius also demonstrated the electric GLC’s remarkably smooth ride, thanks to the revolutionary air suspension technology from the flagship S‑Class, which completely absorbs uneven surfaces and vibrations.

In another test, Mercedes-Benz boss also demonstrated the fast charging capability of the electric GLC, which can add up to 260 kilometres (approximately 161 miles) of range after a 10-minute charge through fast DC charging.

In previous episodes on Mercedes-Benz YouTube channel, Ola Källenius took the electric CLA and the electric G-Class through their paces in the breathtaking landscapes of Austria and Sweden.
