Moment a moving train crashed into rice-laden Toyota Sienna that got stuck on a rail track in Lagos.
As of the time of writing, no casualties have been confirmed, while LASEMA is yet to release an official statement.


This is the shocking moment a moving train (a wagon pulled by a locomotive) smashes into a rice-laden vehicle after getting stuck on a rail track in the Iju-Fagba area of Lagos State on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 (today).
Moments before crash, efforts were being made by good samaritans to push the vehicle, a Toyota Sienna Minivan loaded with bags of rice, off the unprotected railroad crossing.



As of the time of writing this, no casualties have been confirmed, while Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) is yet to release an official statement about the incident.

A similar incident happened in the area in May 2022 after a train crashed into a Toyota Hiace, injuring two (2) adult males in the car-train crash. The bus driver was reportedly trying to beat the speeding train at the railroad crossing at Ilupeju bye-pass in Lagos.
“The cause of the incident was due to the reckless driving of the bus driver,” according to a statement by Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).
