Speaking at the event held at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, on Friday 26th September 2025, the IGP noted that the commissioning comes at a critical time when insecurity is evolving in both complexity and intensity across the African continent, with Nigeria not exempt.
He further stated that :
“The newly inducted vehicles are not ceremonial displays but strategic reinforcements in a broader framework aimed at strengthening operations, enhancing intelligence gathering, and enforcing accountability across all levels of the Force.”

Charging commanders and tactical operatives, IGP Egbetokun directed that the newly commissioned fifty-nine (59) armored Toyota Hilux pickup trucks must never be left idle while citizens face danger.
“He stressed that every deployment must be lawful, proportionate, and decisive, warning that criminal elements must no longer find safe haven in any part of the nation. The IGP assured Nigerians that the public will, in due time, bear witness to declining crime rates and increased confidence in the Force.”
