One of just 275 examples of Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercar worth $2.72 million burns down in Germany.

AMG ONE is powered by hybridised 1.6-litre V6 engine adapted from Mercedes-AMG’s championship-winning 2017 F1 car.
Mercedes claims AMG ONE has a top-speed of 218mph and will reach 124mph from rest in 6.0 seconds.
Last September, an AMG ONE smashed its Nurburgring record for road-legal production cars in a record time of 6:29.09s.


One of just 275 examples of the F1-inspired Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercar that will ever be built has met its untimely death after catching on fire and burning down to the ground on a road in Germany.
According to report, this particular AMG ONE worth $2.72 million hypercar was on display at the Techno Classica Essen, a classic car event which took place from April 9 to 13, per the registration plate fitted to it.

While the cause of the fire is still unknown at the time of writing, another example of the F1-Inspired hypercar also went in flames two years ago while being transported in a trailer in England on May 17 2023.
“We are aware of this incident involving a car that was being transported in a closed trailer as part of its assembly process… At this point in time, we do not know what caused the fire and, if needed, we will support the investigation of the insurance company,” Mercedes said at the time.


Powered by hybridised 1.6-litre V6 adapted from Mercedes-AMG’s championship-winning 2017 F1 car, AMG ONE has a claimed top-speed of 218mph and will reach 124mph from rest in 6.0 seconds.
It will be recalled that an AMG ONE driven by Maro Engel smashed its Nurburgring record for road-legal production cars after lapping the famous 12.8-mile (20.8-km) Green Hell in a record time of 6:29.09s on September 23 2024.
