Petrol-Powered Nissan Jukes Might Last Longer
Next year, Nissan will launch a completely new generation of the Juke. This new Nissan Juke will be fully electric, while the current generation with combustion engines may be sidelined for some time.
In 2026, Nissan will launch a completely new, third-generation Juke. The manufacturer has already revealed a series of dark images of this new Juke. The powertrain of this new Juke is at least as interesting as the new design, as the next generation will be fully electric. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean the end of the petrol-powered Juke.
Alexandre Armada, a high-ranking figure at Nissan Europe, said that he is considering keeping the current-generation Nissan Juke alongside the new electric Juke. After all, electric car sales aren’t growing at the same pace in every European country.
The petrol-powered Nissan Juke was introduced in 2019 and is now about six years old. It’s available with a 114 hp 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, a six-speed manual transmission, and a dual-clutch automatic transmission. A hybrid with 143 hp is also available.
The new-generation Nissan Juke will soon roll off the assembly line in Sunderland, England, just like the Ariya and the new Leaf. Under the bodywork, you’ll find familiar technology.
