Force Spokesperson promised to fish out an armed uniformed officer seen opening car door for singer Spyro.

Many Twitter users condemned the act, with some urging the NPF to punish the armed police officer in uniform.

Force Spokesperson further revealed that the force would stop some deployments or attachments immediately.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has said that it will probe the officer seen in a viral video opening a car door for singer Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro.

Spyro had on May 16th shared his Grass to Grace story by posting a video of his visit to his former neighborhood on his Twitter handle.

In the video, an armed policeman attached to the Spyro was seen opening the car door for the singer, who later alighted from the rear of his Toyota Prado SUV.

As expected, many Twitter users condemned the act, with some urging the NPF to punish the armed police officer in uniform.

Reacting to the video, the Force spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, described the act as unprofessional and ridiculous, adding that efforts are on to fish out the police officer. He further revealed that the force would stop some deployments or attachments immediately.

“This is indeed unprofessional and ridiculous. The video will be sent to relevant offices and units to fish him out. We will stop some deployments or attachments asap. U can imagine him (guess an inspector of police), moving with and opening the door for him.”
