Sony Honda Afeela To Be The First Car To Stream PlayStation Games Remotely
Sony Honda Mobility (SHM), the joint venture between Sony and Honda, has announced that the Afeela will be the world’s first car to include PS Remote Play.
This feature enables players to remotely stream PlayStation games from their PS5 or PS4 consoles, providing an in-car entertainment option.
You will be able to access and control your PS5 or PS4 from the car’s interface using the Afeela IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) system. This works for passengers regardless of whether the car is moving or not, and for the driver only when parked, of course.
The SHM press release mentions that an internet connection of at least 5 Mbps is required for PS Remote Play, and a stable connection exceeding 15 Mbps is recommended for a smooth experience.
The first Afeela model was unveiled at CES in January, after having been teased exactly one year earlier.
