Stellantis Is In Talks With Two Parties Regarding Maserati
Stellantis is negotiating with two potential partners on cooperation on the development of the luxury brand Maserati and will soon make a decision on the choice of partner, the company’s CEO, Antonio Filosa, said today.
He said the talks include “two important partners, who could bring the company new technologies, development opportunities and additional innovative solutions for Maserati”, Reuters reported.
Filosa did not reveal the identity of the potential partners but emphasized that the eventual agreement could contribute to the increase of production in the Italian factories of Cassino and Modena, where models of this luxury brand are produced. At the same time, the CEO of Stellantis rejected the speculations about the possible sale of Maserati, which appeared from time to time in the media.
Last month, the company presented a new business strategy until 2030, worth 60 billion euros, in which partnerships with other car manufacturers and technology companies have a significant place. Maserati is due to unveil its new plan in December at a special event aimed at investors.
Analysts estimate that Stellantis, through new partnerships, is trying to strengthen the position of Maserati, which in recent years has been facing weaker sales and challenges brought by the transition to electric vehicles, according to Reuters.
