Dubai police seizes vehicles, arrest several motorists for performing stunts on wet public roads.
Arrests took place shortly after videos on the car stunts went viral on social media platforms.
Says the reckless driving on public roads not only endangers their lives but that of other road users.
Police in Dubai on Wednesday arrested several motorists for reckless driving and dangerous stunts on public roads across the emirate during rainy weather conditions.
The arrests of motorists took place shortly after videos on the car stunts went viral on social media platforms, according to Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Acting Director of the General Department of Traffic.
He added the traffic patrols swiftly identified and arrested the reckless drivers involved in reckless driving behavior. Video of the stunt that was shared on social media shows the motorists drifting their cars on a wet road which appeared to be a parking lot.
During the arrest, the Dubai police also confiscated several vehicles used during the stunt, including Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series pickup truck ‘Buffalo’ and a Nissan Patrol SUV.
According to the police department, the reckless driving and car stunts on public roads during rainy weather conditions will not only endangers their lives but that of other road users.
