Volkswagen Launches ID.Buzz 4Motion Model
The Volkswagen ID. Buzz is bringing a refresh to the electric van this summer. In addition to the new 4MOTION variant with all-wheel drive and an impressive output of 250 kW (340 hp), the ID. Buzz also brings some software innovations that make it more practical, intelligent and versatile for everyday use.
The new version of the ID. Buzz Pro 4MOTION is equipped with one electric motor on each front and rear axle, a combination that significantly increases towing capacity. The standard wheelbase model can now tow trailers weighing up to 1,800 kg, an increase of 600 kg compared to the rear-wheel drive version.
The extended wheelbase version offers towing up to 1,600 kg. The standard-wheelbase model uses a 79 kWh battery, while the longer version comes with an 86 kWh battery.
One of the most interesting new solutions is the improved Connected Travel Assist, which now uses a wide range of online data and brings the function of automatic traffic light recognition. When the system detects a red light, it automatically brakes the vehicle to a complete stop, making driving safer and more relaxed. In addition, the new one-pedal driving function, known as one-pedal driving, allows drivers to slow down and stop solely by regulating the accelerator pedal, with powerful energy recovery.
The new vehicle-to-load function brings a whole new dimension of convenience. The ID. Buzza’s high-voltage battery can now continuously power external electrical devices with a power of 2.0 kW via the charging port and the corresponding adapter. This means that on an outing, you can charge e-bikes, start an electric grill or power other devices directly at the vehicle, without the need for an external power source.
The ID. Buzz also gets a new Innovision infotainment system with an integrated app store, which functions similarly to that on a smartphone.
Users can digitally activate or expand functions and audio functions, video streaming, parking, charging and even games. The steering wheel is equipped with newly designed buttons that make it easier to use key functions of the vehicle, cockpit and infotainment system.
Along with all the technical innovations, the vehicle will also be available in a new color combination of Candy White and Cherry Red, which further emphasizes the iconic and recognizable character of this electric van.
