Within 30 Minutes Of Debut, 10,153 Orders Were Placed For The Audi E5 Sportback
SAIC Audi announced that its newly launched AUDI E5 Sportback in China received 10,153 orders in the first 30 minutes of sales. This all-electric fastback is positioned in the mid-size segment and starts at 235,900 yuan (about 32,400 US dollars) in China.
The car measures 4,881 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,479 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm.
Inside, the E5 Sportback is equipped with an integrated 59-inch screen, which supports Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8295 chip and runs the Audi OS operating system. Additional features include the “Audi Island” digital interface, electronic mirrors, and the interactive Audi Assistant.
Other features include heated and ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree cameras, and wireless phone charging. Higher trim levels add air suspension, CDC adaptive dampers, adaptive lighting, and an 18-speaker BOSE sound system.
The E5 Sportback is equipped with 27 sensors, including lidar, radar, ultrasonic sensors, and cameras, along with an Nvidia Orin-X chip.
The E5 Sportback is available in rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations: the single-engine versions deliver a maximum output of 220 kW or 300 kW. The two-engine versions deliver power of 386 kW or 579 kW, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds.
Battery capacities range from 76.2 kWh to 100 kWh, supplied by CATL, with a maximum claimed CLTC range of up to 773 km. The car adopts an 800V architecture and comes standard with a heat pump system.
