Aston Martin has joined the growing number of luxury brands that are delving into the business of making smaller versions of their vehicles for children.
Its latest product, co-developed with ‘The Little Car Company’, is essentially an electric-powered two-thirds scale replica of the DB5.
Aston Martin says the electric-powered toy car will come in two versions : the DB5 Junior and the more expensive version DB5 Vantage Junior.
Features inside the DB5 Junior include aluminum accelerator and brake pedals, working headlights, brake lights, indicators, and a horn.

The DB5 Junior comes with three driving modes – Novice, Expert, and Race. It is powered by a single 6.7-horsepower electric motor, enough to propel the 595-pound car to a top speed of 30 mph (48 kilometres per hour).
Its battery-pack, stored under the bonnet, allows up to 10-20 miles (16-32 kilometres) of range at a single charge. The removable pack can be swapped in a matter of seconds.
The more expensive DB5 Vantage comes with a carbon-fibre body, a second battery pack, that doubles the range, and an extra driving mode, which doubles the power output to 13.4 bhp (10 kW).
Aston plans to build 1,059 cars, the same number as it made original DB5s. The DB5 Junior starts at $46,000 (around ₦17.7 million).
The more powerful DB5 Vantage Junior is priced at $59,000 (around ₦22.7 million). First deliveries is planned before year 2021 runs out.
