Ebute Metta Train Station In Lagos State set to commence operation , FG Says.

It will be named after the first Military Governor of Lagos State, Late Brigadier Mobolaji Johnson.

With the rapid construction ongoing, the Federal government of Nigeria, under the leadership of President Muhammadu, is expected to launch the Ebute Metta train station soon.

Recall that the Federal Government promised to name the train station after the first Military Governor of Lagos State, Late Brigadier Mobolaji Johnson.

The Ministry of Transportation disclosed this via its Twitter handle

The tweet read :

“New indoor photos of our flagship station located at Ebute Metta. It is to be named Mobolaji Johnson Station after the former Governor of Lagos State.

Johnson who died on 30 of October, 2019 was the first military governor of Lagos State. He was in office from July 29, 1966 to July 29, 1975.

The train network is now at the pre-lauching state. The train network is expected to ease traffic inconveniences of Lagosians. Also, the near completion status of the Ebute Metta railway station is a big boost to achieving the completion of the Lagos-Ibadan railway project.
