380km Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Expressway : SCOA Hands Over MAN Trucks, Machines To Julius Berger
SCOA Nigeria Plc hands over dozens of MAN trucks and state-of-the-art construction machines to Julius Berger Plc.
The equipments will be deployed for the construction of the 380 kilometre Abuja-Kaduna-Kano roads.
SCOA boss hails Unity Bank, 7 other banks for supplying N15.5bn to purchase the trucks, equipments for Julius Berger.
16 MAN trucks were delivered during the first phase. The second phase will see the delivery of the remaining 17 trucks.
SCOA Nigeria Plc has officially handed over dozens of heavy-duty MAN trucks and state-of-the-art construction equipments to construction giant, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc.
The equipments, which included, 33 MAN heavy-duty trucks and Wirtgen Group Road construction machines, will be deployed for the construction of the 380 kilometre Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Expressway.
During the handing over ceremony, the group managing director and chief executive officer of SCOA Nigeria Plc, Dr Massad Boulos, appreciated eight banks for funding the acquisition of trucks and equipment to Julius Berger Plc.
The banks that facilitated a credit facility of N15.5bn for the acquisition includes Unity Bank Plc and Heritage Bank Limited. Others are Zenith Bank Plc, Providus Bank Limited, Wema Bank Plc, United Bank for Africa Plc, Union Bank Plc and Coronation Merchant Bank Limited.
Boulos said :
“I commend Unity Bank, their MD and the members of the Executive Management; and the entire team of banks who have worked closely with us on this project.
“The partnership with Unity Bank and the other banks is like no other considering the parties involved especially SCOA Nigeria and Julius Berger”, he said.
16 MAN trucks were delivered to Julius Berger Nigeria Plc during the first phase. The second phase will see the delivery of the remaining 17 trucks to the construction giant.
