Iran Vows To Avenge The Death Of Its General Whose Car Was Blown Up By U.S ₦5.7b MQ-9 Reaper Drone
Iran vows to avenge the death of Gen. Soleimani, whose car was blown up by U.S ₦5.7b MQ-9 Reaper Drone.
Iranian President said that former US President Donald Trump must face trial for the killing or Tehran would take revenge.

It’s been two years since the head of the Quds Force of the Iranian IRGC General Qassem Soleimani was killed in Iraq on Jan. 3, 2020, in a U.S drone airstrike ordered by then-President Trump.
To mark the anniversary, Iran premiered a new film called 72 hours, which tells the story of the three days of his life leading up to the assassination near Baghdad International Airport.

“This documentary is a new and unpublished narrative of the 72 hours leading up to the martyrdom of Haj Qasem Soleimani,” the report says.
Iran wants its people and the region to know of Soleimani’s importance, including the role he played in defeating the deadly terrorist group, ISIS.

Soleimani was a key military figure for Iran. He held talks with Russia and groups such as Hezbollah to coordinate actions with Iran over the last decade.

Speaking on the second anniversary of the assassination of Soleimani by the United States, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, said that former US President Donald Trump must face trial for the killing or Tehran would take revenge.
“If Trump and (former secretary of state Mike) Pompeo are not tried in a fair court for the criminal act of assassinating General Soleimani, Muslims will take our martyr’s revenge,”

“The aggressor, murderer and main culprit – the then president of the United States – must be tried and judged under the (Islamic) law of retribution, and God’s ruling must be carried out against him,” Raisi added.
Days after the assassination, the U.S told the United Nations that the killing was in self-defense. The then US Attorney General William Barr said Trump clearly had the authority to kill Soleimani and the general was a “legitimate military target.”
