G-Turn : Watch The 2024 Mercedes EQG, An Electric G-Wagon, Do A 360º ‘Tank Turn’
Awesome! Mercedes shows off impressive 360-degree ‘Tank Turn’ feature on the EQG – an electric G-Wagon.
This feature on the electric G-Wagon called the “G-Turn”, allows the truck to do a full 360º turn without moving at all.
The EQG was able to pull off this zero-turn maneuver, thanks to its four independently controlled electric Motors.
Mercedes says the EQG will also be a serious off-roader, just like the popular petrol/diesel versions.
Mercedes said that the G-Turn feature will be available on the production EQG.
The electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class is expected to arrive in 2024.
Mercedes-Benz has released a video showing the electric concept version of its iconic boxy luxury G-Class, dubbed the Concept EQG, completing a tank turn.
This awesome feature, which the German automaker calls the “G-Turn”, allows the truck to do a full 360º turn without moving at all – the same way a tank turns.
The EQG was able to pull off this zero-turn maneuver, thanks to its four independently controlled electric motors — which allows each wheel to be driven independently.
When Mercedes revealed the EQG last September, the automaker said the electric G-Wagon will also be a serious off-roader just like the petrol and diesel powered versions of the G-Wagon, as it will be able to climb a 100% grade.
Mercedes didn’t give details about the EVs drive range or its battery size, but it said that the SUV will be tested on the 1,445-meter high Schockl mountain in Graz before it becomes a series production model.
Mercedes said that the G-Turn feature will be available on the production EQG. The electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class is expected to arrive in 2024.
