Moment a truck conveying a 40ft container fell at Sawmill inward Dopemu under bridge in Lagos.

LASTMA reports that the fallen 40 feet container occupied 90 per cent of the road, causing traffic.

Incident comes a day after a truck conveying a 20ft container fell on a commercial bus at Ojuelegba, killing nine.

A footage shared by a Twitter user, unique2001ng, has captured the moment a truck conveying a 40ft container fell at Sawmill inward Dopemu under bridge in Lagos.

According to the unique2001ng, the footage was captured by his sister while on her way to work on Monday 30th January.

He said :

“30th January 2023. My sister, on her way to office before Tower company going to Iyana Ipaja.”

The Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) reports that the fallen 40 feet container occupied 90 per cent of the road, causing traffic.

LASTMA said :

“A 40ft container laden truck fell at Sawmill inward Dopemu under bridge, it’s occupying 90 per cent of road. Our men are on ground doing the needful as effort is on for recovery.”

This incident comes a day after a truck conveying a 20ft container fell on top of a commercial bus at Ojuelegba area of Lagos State, killing nine passengers.
