Toyota Shows Off The Front Of The Upcoming Century SUV Ahead Of September 6 Debut

Toyota Motors Corporation teases 2024 Toyota Century ultra-luxury SUV ahead of September 6 online debut.

Photo shows a chauffeur holding the rear door handle of a chauffeur-driven limo with chrome accents on the bodywork.

Toyota first announced a chauffeur-driven vehicle was in the works at the reveal of new Alphard and Vellfire in June.

Unlike the Japan-only Century sedan, the first-ever Century-branded SUV will be sold in a number of international markets.

When it arrives, Toyota’s “Rolls-Royce Cullinan” will be more expensive than the Land Cruiser 300, which starts at $100k.

Japanese automaker Toyota Motors Corporation has released a teaser image of an upcoming luxurious, chauffeur-driven, high-riding vehicle ahead of official unveiling on Wednesday September 6th 2023.

The teaser shot posted to Toyota YouTube channel gives us a glimpse of the rear end of the luxury off-roader, which consists of taillights similar to that of the Century sedan.

The photo also shows a chauffeur – or professional driver – holding the rear door handle of a black-painted chauffeur-driven luxury limousine with chrome accents on the bodywork.

Toyota first announced that chauffeur-driven vehicle was in the works at the reveal of the new Alphard and Vellfire back in June, sparking rumors that a Toyota Century SUV would soon join the iconic Japanese sedan.

Earlier rumor from Japanese magazines suggest that the Toyota Century SUV will be based on the new monocoque chassis on the Toyota Grand Highlander SUV to provide the needed spacious cabin.

Reports also revealed that the upcoming Century SUV will use a plug-in hybrid setup borrowed from the Lexus TX 550h+, which produces a combined output of 406 horsepower in the latter.

Unlike the Japan-only Century sedan, the first-ever Century-branded SUV will be sold in a number of international markets. When it arrives, Toyota’s “budget Rolls-Royce Cullinan” will be significantly more expensive than the Land Cruiser 300 Series, which starts at $100,000.
