LASEMA, LASTMA rescue three adults as 40-ft container crushes Toyota Corolla at Ojuelegba on Sunday.
Articulated truck conveying contain fell on the occupied Corolla after loosing control while ascending the Ojuelegba Bridge.
Fortunately, there was no loss of lives due to the swift and prompt intervention of the Agency’s Response Team.
Operatives of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Sunday night rescued 3 casualties after a 40ft container fell on a Toyota Corolla car carrying them at Ojuelegba.
A statement by LASEMA revealed that the articulated truck conveying a 40FT container was ascending the Ojuelegba bridge inward Stadium when it lost control before toppling on the occupied Toyota Corolla with registration number JJJ 811 FV.
“Fortunately, there was no loss of lives due to the swift and prompt intervention of the Agency’s Response Team, which swung into action immediately using the Agency’s light rescue equipment in extrication of the trapped victims with its heavy-duty equipment, Forklift to recover the container off the Corolla car.
“However, the trapped adults, one adult male and one adult female were rescued alive by the Agency’s Team and given immediate pre-medical care by the Agency’s Paramedics before they were taken to trauma centre for further medical treatment.
“Furthermore, the Agency’s heavy-duty equipment Forklift, Super-Metro and Hiab recovered the truck, container and the Corolla car from the road to restore vehicular activities on the road.”
