Denza, Owned By BYD-Mercedes, Celebrates Production Of 100,000th D9 In Just 11 Months

Denza, owned by BYD-Mercedes, celebrates production milestone as 100,000th D9 MPV rolls off assembly line in just 11 months.
Offered as either a 4-seater or a 7-seater configurations, the Denza D9 is an all-electric and plug-in hybrid Minivan.
Currently, three BEV models and five plug-in hybrid models are offered, with a price range $49,300 to $67,800.
Denza, a joint venture between China’s BYD Group and the Mercedes-Benz Group, is celebrating a new production milestone as the 100,000th Denza D9 high-end MPV rolls off the assembly line since production started 11 months ago.
“From the first mass production to the 100,000th unit rolling off the production line, it only took 11 months, Denza D9 became the fastest new energy luxury model to reach 100,000 mass production cars!”, Denza wrote on its Weibo page.
Offered as either a four-seater or a seven-seater, the Denza D9 is an all-electric and plug-in hybrid Minivan, which was first officially unveiled on the Chinese car market in May 2022.
Currently, three pure electric models and five plug-in hybrid models are offered, with a price range from 390k RMB to 460k RMB ($57,500 – $67,800) and 335k RMB to 445k RMB ($49,300 – $65,600), respectively.
In addition, an ultra-luxury four-seat variant, called the Premier Founder’s Edition, was also available as a 99 unit limited production model at a price of 660,000 RMB (US$88,400).
While the plug-in hybrid model has a comprehensive cruising range as high as 1,040 km, the pure electric models offered in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, have a cruising range of 620 km and 600 km, respectively.
Inside, the Denza D9 is offered in either a four-seater or a seven-seater configurations. Features includes a 10.25-inch 3D instrument panel and a 15.6-inch floating central control screen that comes with a built-in Denza Link 5G intelligent connectivity system.
