Land Rover Recalls 2024-2026 Range Rover Sport

NHTSA has recalled 2024–2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport models due to potential rear subframe cracks. Owners should visit dealers for inspection and repair.

Specifically, the recall applies to vehicles manufactured at the Solihull Vehicle Assembly Plant between October 3, 2023, and May 22, 2026. This action affects approximately 873 Land Rover units within the United States and its territories.

To date, there have been no reported accidents, injuries, or fires associated with this defect, nor have there been any related field reports or claims filed in the United States.

JLR discovered a forging defect in rear subframes manufactured by Linamar Casting and Gestamp Assembly. The defect, identified on June 4, 2026, went undetected during manual inspections because the machining process was expected to remove the affected material. JLR is reviewing production records and supplier imaging to identify impacted vehicles, though some units remain unverified due to incomplete imaging history.

A compromised rear subframe significantly threatens a vehicle’s structural integrity, increasing the risk of injury during a collision. If left unaddressed, these cracks may propagate, potentially leading to a loss of vehicle control.

In response, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has initiated a corrective program to inspect, repair, or replace the rear subframes on affected 2024–2026 Range Rover Sport models. JLR strongly advises owners to visit an authorized dealer for a comprehensive inspection. Due to limitations in manufacturing documentation, JLR emphasizes the importance of this proactive assessment to ensure the safety and structural reliability of every impacted vehicle.
