Bugatti Begins Delivery Of First Examples Of $5 Million Open-top W16 Mistral Hypercar To Customers
Bugatti begins delivery of first examples of $5 million W16 Mistral open-top hypercar to customers in the United States.
Despite the jaw-dropping price, all 99 examples of the limited-edition 1,600-hp W16 Mistral was sold out even before its revealed.
W16 Mistral is the first open-top Bugatti model since 2015 and the last to use the 8.0-liter W16 engine, first seen in the Veyron.
On November 9th 2024, W16 Mistral became the world’s fastest-ever roadster – achieving a new top-speed record of 453.91 km/h.



The first two examples of the limited-edition Bugatti W16 Mistral open-top hypercars have left the Alsatian Atelier in France where they hand-assembled and being handed over to their owners in the United States.
One of the W16 Mistrals is adorned with a striking ‘Black Carbon’ finish and ‘Bugatti Light Blue Sport’ accents while the other boasts a stunning ‘White Glacier’ finish, enhanced by ‘Blue Carbon’ touches as well as ‘Atlantic Blue’ and ‘Italian Red’ accentuations.



The start of deliveries comes three years after Bugatti unveiled the W16 Mistral at The Quail, a Motorsports gathering during Monterey Car Week in California, on August 19th 2022.



Despite the jaw-dropping price of around $5 million, all 99 examples of the limited-edition 1,600-horsepower Bugatti W16 Mistral was sold out even before its revealed to the public.
Following it stunning debut, the W16 Mistral then embarked on a global tour, and on November 9th 2024, the open-top car earned its status as the world’s fastest-ever roadster – achieving a new top-speed record of 453.91 km/h.


The open-top Mistral is the first open-top Bugatti model since 2015 and the last to use the brand’s legendary 8.0-liter W16 engine, first seen in 2005 in the Veyron and also used by the Chiron.
The Bugatti W16 Mistral “represents a spectacular showcase for the exquisite legacy of Bugatti roadster design, and a beautiful closing chapter of the legendary W16 era,” said Hendrik Malinowski, Bugatti Managing Director.
