US-based Nigerian Paid N461 Million For A 10-Minutes Trip To Space Aboard Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin’s New Shepard

US-based Nigerian paid $300k (N461 million) for a 10-minute space trip aboard Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin’s New Shepard.

With this successful trip, the New Shepard has now flown 70 people to space since the first crewed spaceflight in July 20th 2021.

Notable names who had made this trip aboard New Shepard includes Mr Bezos, who has a net worth of $237B, and his brother.

Blue Origin, a private space technology company owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, on June 29th successfully completed its 13th human spaceflight and the 33rd flight for the New Shepard program.

The crew included Allie Kuehner and her husband, Carl Kuehner, Leland Larson, Freddie Rescigno, Jr., Jim Sitkin and a US-based Nigerian, Owolabi Salis, who paid about $300,000 (approximately N461 Million) each for a sit aboard the New Shepard for the 11 minutes long trip.

With this recent successful trip, the New Shepard has now flown 70 people to space since the first crewed spaceflight back in July 20th 2021, including four who have flown twice.

According to Blue Origin’s website, the company launches its passengers more than 100km (62 miles) above the Earth’s surface – allowing them to experience microgravity.
