Bentley Motors partners with Contest Yachts design team to create a bespoke yacht interior for a client.

New 20-metre Contest 67CS features materials, motifs and techniques utilised on Bentley Motors cars with bespoke details.

Bentley Home furnishings are featured in the client’s newly modelled 20-metre Contest 67CS yatch, including the Malvern Chair.

British luxury marque, Bentley Motors, has collaborated with premium Dutch yacht builder, Contest Yachts, to create a bespoke Bentley yacht interior for a mutual private client’s newly modelled 20-metre Contest 67CS.

The bespoke fully matched auto yacht interior was created by Bentley design team, who specialises in crafting interiors for the Continental GT and Bentayga SUV.

To create the unique interior, Bentley worked closely with the Contest Yachts design team. “We are delighted to be working with Bentley Motors, adding the option of fully matched Bentley auto and yacht interiors to our portfolio,” says Contest CEO Arjen Conijn.

The entire vessel interior features Bentley’s iconic diamond quilted hides while hand cross stitching, usually used to produce steering wheel for Bentley cars were adapted and adopted throughout.

Bentley Home furnishings are featured in the Contest Yachts, including the Malvern Chair, while the Captain’s chair and ‘Egg’ table were also trimmed as a one off by Bentley. The sofa, built by hand at Bentley’s engineering facility, was precision finished in Bentley trim.

“It has been a pleasure to work with the Contest Team,” said Dr Matthias Rabe, Member of the Board for Engineering at Bentley Motors.

“Yacht interiors, like that of a car must be exact with precision detail. Whilst it was a challenge for our design teams to adapt their craft skills to an interior, providing a totally bespoke extension to our automotive interiors for the water we are delighted with the result.”
